Getting Started

Access to the RAM program is through the Mays’ Web site (www.mces.com). Once you are on the Mays’ web site you will need to select the RAM link located on left side of your screen. You will be directed to the Roof Asset Management home page. From this screen you need to follow these steps:

1) Install the Whip! viewer (required to view plans/drawings).

a) If you have not installed the Whip! viewer on your computer you need to do so now. Click on the Whip! Logo on the upper right hand of the screen (Figure 1). (If you have already installed the Whip! viewer proceed to Step 2.)

b) You will be directed to a screen that will automatically load Whip! onto your computer (Figure 2).

c) When asked if you want to install this feature select “Yes” (Figure 3).

d) Depending on your connection to the Internet, the download should only take a couple of minutes. Once Whip! has been installed, you should see an image with the Whip! logo (Figure 4). Once this appears WHIP! is installed on your computer. See Using Cad Drawings (Whip!) in Crystal Reports in the Appendix A for use of Whip! in the RAM program.

e) Select the back button to return to the RAM home page.

2) From the RAM home page select the
RAM Client Access link (Figure 5).

3) You will see the following screen (Figure 6) that will prompt you for your user name and password. Use the user name and password you have been provided by Mays Consulting. The user name and password are case sensitive. If you are having problems logging in, contact Mays Consulting @ (740)363-9511 or ram@mces.com.

4) After a successful login you will see your homepage (Figure 7) with the facilities you have permission to access. To view a report select the link for the facility you want to view. You will be directed to the report for the facility you have selected. Depending on your connection it may take a few minutes to load.

5) The first time you access a facility report you will be prompted to install an ActiveX control for the reporting program, Crystal Reports (Figure 8). When asked if you want this control to install select “Yes”. This control is a plug-in for your browser and will take only a few minutes to install depending on your connection speed.
